This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Time to introduce myself i guess. I'm a profesional (some might question that) artist doing 3d art/animation/editing in TV advertising. I love drawing but never do it, i generally do 3d art and animation. Most work here is at least a year old if not up to 8 yrs old, i've been pretty slack lately! I used to be a lead character artist for a videogames company, but moved on from that. In my spare time, i love kung fu and am presently trying to find the time to work on my 3d cartoon "Demonica" which i hope one day to release as a series of 15-20 minute cartoons but thats a long term dream!
I'm 15 years old and from the UK aswell and hoping to become an animator. Do you have any tips or information on how and where to get degree's in animation, and how to get into business. If so it would be a great help and much appreciated!
Hey, thanks for your kind words. I'm not sure how degrees work these days, i graduated in 1998! Usually its down to portfolio and a positive attitude. I've done hiring work for games companies and thats one of our major consideration, unique work (avoid spaceships anything chrome, lens flare and other out of the bad techniques). If your going for an animation post i'd focus more on animating and work with basic shapes, i know a guy who got into pixar based on an animation of the interation of 2 spheres and a fence! It was all about weighting and giving basic objects life. Also using sound clips is a popular one, animating a characters face and body to enhance a voiceover. Hope this helps
Wow thankyou very much ^^ I'll keep all that in mind, and lucky me I stear well clear of spaceships... although im kinda obsessive with the canine area O____o...
Thanks a ton for the watchin'.
Yeargh!
